Conscious breathing can improve your performance in everything you do.
Elite athletes use their breath to “center” themselves for high performance. Whether basketball players standing at the free throw line or tennis players about to serve, they take a deep breath, then relax into their exhale. This relaxation into the exhale calms their nervous system, detaches them from fear or nervousness, and enables them to concentrate fully on the task at hand.
As a Conscious Change Leader, you need this same skill.
The unique people and process challenges of transformation require that leaders transform their “industrial” worldview and command and control style. They must become more co-creative, responsive, facilitating, and compassionate.
This requires personal change, not just organizational change. Breath control can become invaluable to you because it will dramatically increase your capability to change personally.
So take a deep breath, and let’s get started!
